creating a home

i am happiest when i’m surrounded by wonderful things. people, pretty patterns, sparkly things, beautiful words, tea, anything teal, etc.

since we moved into our very ugly home in december i’ve made it my mission to turn these ugly walls into a place where i am happy.

tonight we worked on the living room.
the space above the tv was terrible bare.

(watching braveheart)

one frustrated husband (apparently making them touch was easier said than done) and four picture fames later…ta da!

(still braveheart)

here’s a close up:

this project was insanely easy!

supplies:
four picture frames (i used 8.5 x 11 and got them from dollar tree)
scrapbook paper (i got a HUGE pack from michael’s for under $10)
scissors
hammer
and nails.

first take the scrapbook paper and cut to the size of the frame.
then place in frame.
next put the frame back together (i chose not to put the glass top back on but do whatever floats your boat!)
figure out how you want it to look on your wall and hammer away.

easy, inexpensive and time consuming…a military wife’s dream!

(quote from pinterest) a short list of things i love: america, cocktails, red lips, my chalkboard, grilled food but most importantly long weekends spent with my loved ones. happy birthday america! thanks for giving us the day off to celebrate 🍻
