hurricane sandy is definitely doing her thing. thank the good lord all we got was rain.
but lots and lots of it!
it started raining friday afternoon and is still going strong.
this has been quite the weekend.
i’m sick. just a cold but it still sucks. but i’m feeling a little better today and i’m proud to say that i’m getting better without any medicine!
lately i’ve been on this anti-western medicine kick. there’s still so much that i don’t know but i just don’t like the idea of taking pills unless i absolutely have to. so! instead of filling my body with dayquil and other cold medicines, i’ve been taking vitamin c, drinking lots of tea, eating lots of soup and using eucalyptus oil to help break up my stuffy nose. last night i used a breathe right strip (j uses them because he always has a stuffy nose and reccomended that i try!) and that helped a whole lot too!
soup and my pup (read “pup” as “poop”!)
friday morning one of my friends gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl! i wasn’t able to go visit her in the hospital because of my cold but she’s home now and i stopped by for a bit. it is amazing how tiny we all once were! she’s absolutely beautiful and i had a serious case of baby fever…for about thirty seconds.
i found out that my dad was admitted to the icu at a hospital back home on thursday night.
he was having trouble breathing but is doing better now.
he has double pnoumia and that’s all the doctors know now. he’ll be staying in the icu for a while longer until his oxygen levels improve.
please keep him in your prayers. i’m having such a hard time with not being home to visit him in the hospital, help my mom or whatever.
on a much lighter note!
last night j and i had a halloween party!
it was excellent. people came over around 4pm and everyone was gone by 10pm which was abolutely fine by me because i wasn’t feeling too great. j’s friends made 200 jello shots in syringes and they were gone by 7pm! crazy!
leo is looking less than thrilled to be taking a picture with us.
okay lovelies, that is all for now.
it’s time to make more tea, crawl into bed and relax with a good book!
