recipe roundup

hey y’all!
we’ve been working hard on cutting back our grocery bills. this is much easier said than done when feeding marines!
today i’m going to share three of our recipes that aren’t super expensive, taste good and are very filling.
enjoy!

j literally asks for this dish at least once a week:
one pot cheesy smoked sausage pasta skillet
i always try my best to keep these ingredients on hand because it’s so quick to make and everyone loves it!
*i usually substitute the cheddar-jack cheese for just plain cheddar
*adding a flavored diced tomato (like roasted garlic) makes this dish even better!

another of our favorites is:
french dip crescents
french fries or tater tots always accompany these babies in our home!
*i haven’t ever tried the ranch, but i serve the horseradish on the side

finally, this is one of my hands down favorite dishes.
campbell’s cheesy chicken and rice casserole
there’s just something so great and comforting about a casserole, no?
this dish served with a biscuit or a crescent roll…mmmm…my mouth is watering just thinking about it!

what are some of your favorite dinners?

find all these dishes and more on my recipes pinterest board.

backyard bonfires with my boys ❤ if you know me, one of the best words to describe me is "busy". i spend my days constantly running from one activity to the next. even though i love all that i'm doing, it's still easy to feel burnt out. especially with the holiday season so quickly approaching, i'm making it my intention so slow down. take a few deep breaths. sit and listen to the rain. treat myself to a coffee at my favorite cafe. get to a yoga class. make time to be still.
you can't pour from an empty cup. how will you fill yours today? all i want to do is love on him but all he wants to do is hunt down the squirrels 😀
