to celebrate our anniversary earlier this week, j and i took a trip down to beaufort, nc.
it’s only a 45 minute drive so i’m not sure why we haven’t explored this cute little town before, but this was our first time!
we had a late lunch at clawson’s.
this pub has a great home-y feel and has all sorts of fun vintage decor to look at.
the food was ahhhhmazing.
bacon cheddar cheese fries. um. yum.
we told the waitress it was our anniversary so she surprised us with a free dessert.
j loves chocolate more than any woman i know so we had to go with the death by chocolate cake.
it was delicious.
i may be drooling now as i stare at this pic too…
the beer selection was great too!
clawson’s was great. i highly recommend it and i’m positive we’ll be back!
after lunch we wandered around downtown beaufort for a while.
it was a chilly november day so the streets and shops were pretty empty.
beaufort is right on the water so i’m sure it’s bumpin’ in the summer!
exploring beaufort was so much fun!
after our adventures, we came home and had our traditional anniversary cupcake dessert.
we had a great day!
bomb lunch, got to check out a new town and finished our day with sugary sweets.
